How do I underline selected text using Word

First: let’s start out by making sure you are at the home tab on Microsoft Word.

Second:  Highlight the desired text you would like to underline.

Third: Select underline from your font tools area.

Alternatively you can just highlight the text and wait for a font tool area to pop up next to your cursor.

Note: if you would like to type while underlining – simply place your cursor in the desired line, click underline and type away.
